Callisto Media needed to drastically increase the capacity of it’s marketing team in order to accommodate a large influx of new titles that would leave each Strategist carrying 3-4x more books than usual.
Role
As the head of the Marketing Technology Operations team within Callisto Media’s Marketing department, I led concepting and strategy for the project and managed a team of 2 developers to architect a complex marketing automation system that would integrate with the company’s proprietary database.

Outcome
The system was user tested and launched on time, allowing each Marketing Strategist to triple their capacity without sacrificing quality or experience. The increased efficiency allowed the team to focus on KPI-driving activities and strategies instead of rout tasks. Most importantly, the transparency of the system allowed a way to monitor performance that was previously impossible, allowing for vast improvements to process that optimized performance even further. The system saw several minor and major updates and was maintained until I departed the company in 2020.
